Chief Executive Doherty was introduced by Micelle Fitzgerald, a teacher in St. Vincent's Secondary School and President O'Shea was introduced by Art Kelleher, a final year medical student in UCC. Both Michelle and Art are members of the L.E.A.F. Project Steering Committee.

Introductory music for the occasion was provided by students of the Colaiste an Spioraid Naoimh Trad Group.

Br. Martin Kenneally, Director of the L.E.A.F. Project said: "L.E.A.F. is a new initiative from the Presentation Brothers. We hope to facilitate leadership education and mentoring for individuals and groups within our Presentation Family and beyond. This will involve providing spirituality and reflection opportunities for people who are leading very busy and challenging lives.

From a faith community perspective, developing lay leadership is vital to the future. L.E.A.F. also has a special role within the Presentation Congregation in terms of the formation and leadership development of our young Brothers, principally in West Africa. It's an exciting project which we hope we can build over the next few years".
